Friday morning, George drove me to the airport for my 8:20 am flight. The flight was uneventful. Jeanne met me at baggage claim. Minneapolis is a huge airport. Seemed to take forever to get from the plane to baggage claim. I had eaten my lunch on the plane so Jeanne grabbed a sandwich at a gas station. Exciting meal!! Then we headed off to Ely. There was some road construction, which backed things up. It added about an hour to the drive. I must honestly say that I did not notice, we filled the time with chatter. We always seem to have plenty to talk about.
We stopped at Tobies to pick up a few cinnamon rolls (to take home ;-) ... not for a snack). They sure look yummy.
We let Jay know that we were on our way and could give him a better estimate of our ETA.
We got to Ely about 7:15 pm. Jay got dinner on the table. Ahh.
After dinner, Jeanne and I finished putting a puzzle together. She wanted to get it completed before Laura and family arrive later tonight.

Glad to hear you had an easy journey although sounds like a long day. Good to know how large the airport seemed for my upcoming flight there!
ReplyDeleteI hope they enjoyed the cinnamon rolls.
