Home again.

Ivan had to put on his Trimet shirt so that he could work on his homework of typing in bus schedules into Roman's computer.

We had breakfast. And then headed out on a walk. George and Ed were working on Ed's computer, and Roman was working from home.  We stopped at 5 Stones Coffee shop for a cup of coffee.  We played a round of Uno.

It was perfect weather for a leisurely walk.

We enjoyed the waterfront and climbing on the rocks.

Someone was feeding the birds, which they were not supposed to do.

We walked back to the Singers' place.  They had a school meeting to go to, and we wanted to get on the road by 11:30 am.  We wanted to get home in time to fully charge the vehicle before Rebecca uses it later.  We had an uneventful drive.  We stopped for Subway sandwiches.

We got home about 3:15 pm.  Not bad. 

Rebecca arrives tonight around 9 pm.  We will use Nathan's car to go get her so that our car can continue to charge.  George will take the car to the Kia dealer tomorrow afternoon.

The breakfast was ok. It was a nice room with a good view of the river.

And of the mountains.

We were planning to start out by going to the Riverwalk but ARGH!!! The car wouldn't start.  It had a bunch of error messages.  First off we got the portable charger from the trunk.  Whew!! It started.  The error messages stayed but since the car started we decided to continue with our plans.

We left the park to walk to Bear, Bear for brunch.

We dinked in several shops on our way to the Greater Leavenworth Museum. It was a very interesting museum about the history of the area.  We read about how the town became the Bavarian-themed village and how that saved the town.

The Gingerbread Factory wasn't really a factory but we could buy treats.

Short break to play a game and relax. Then we went back to the car to start heading back to the Singers'.  

We had to stop for gas before heading back.

The gas station was right beside the Alpine Slide. We were on the road by 2:15 pm. By this time the car was no longer giving an error message.  That was a relief. 

We planned to meet up at the Bigfoot rest stop.  Here are some scenes along the way, taken from a moving vehicle.

We made it to the Bigfoot rest stop.  But Madeline and gang went on by because Dorothy and Ed were sound asleep.

We decided to go directly to the restaurant where we were meeting Debbie and Joe for dinner.  It was less complicated than going back to Singers' and then driving to the restaurant.  Plus, we were a little behind our earlier plan.  We planned to meet Debbie and Joe at Tablas Woodstone Taverna in Mill Creek Town Center. (Mill Creek was nearly half-way between Debbie & Joe's and Singer's)  It was a Spanish restaurant, but it ended out that none of us ordered Spanish food.

After dinner we headed back to the Singers'.  We were back by 7:15 pm. We found out that Madeline had an incident with a deep pothole on their way back.  Minor issue that was temporarily fixed with some duct tape. After Ivan went to bed we played 2 rounds of "Oh Pshaw!"  Nathan thinks that I should go back to calling it 10, 9, 8.  In this case, because of the number of people, we were playing 8, 7, 6.
