Sharon and  I got in our morning walk before breakfast.

Gotta catch those photo ops when you can.

Walking to this sign and back is 1½ miles.

It is another gorgeous day. We are so lucky.

Me, Olivia, Judy, Sharon, Kris and Barbara  This is my first attempt with doing the time lapse with my phone.  I guess I need a stand for it or something.  Anyway it worked out but you can't seem much of the ocean behind us.

Our plan was to pack up and leave by 10 am, but, well, ... that did not quite happen.  We left at 10:30 am.  Not too far off. It always takes longer to pack up than we think that it is going to take and then we have to gather for our group photo.

We left Judy at the beach and then rest of us headed on out.

The first stop was the Ten Oaks Art Gallery in McMinnville.

The downstairs of this converted house is for their feature artists.

The upstairs is for the artists who are part of the coop of the gallery.  There were some pretty amazing art.  Some of them have been in our Art Show.  Nice to see some familiar names.  

A fair was going on across the street at Linfield College.  Interesting "fence" around the fair.

Olivia in her new shirt matched the chairs on the porch.

Next stop was lunch at the 1882 Grille.

Very interesting chilled zucchini soup.  Kris and Barbara S tried it and they both said it was very good.  I had a cheeseburger and sweet potato fries which were delicious.  

After lunch Kris and Olivia headed on home.  Olivia still had a ways to go because she lives up in Camus, Washington.  Once she dropped of Kris she had another hours drive.

Sharon, Barbara and I checked out one winery, the Fairsing.  It is listed as having the best tasting  room in Oregon.  I can see why.

We could see Mt Jefferson but because of the haze the photograph doesn't show it well.

They have a labyrinth in the grass in front of the tasting room.  It was too hot to walk the labyrinth.  Maybe next time.

While we were there a helicopter landed and picked up some people who had come wine tasting.  Maybe they called Uber-Air?  

The wine was good and we enjoyed the tasting, but it was too expensive to actually buy any of the wine.  So we just paid for the tasting.

From there Barbara took us to Sharon's to drop us off. George met me at Sharon's.  He had needed the car.  I was home by 5 pm.

What a great weekend.  We did miss Joyce.  We enjoyed looking at her pictures of Bahrain on Facebook and email.

Saturday at the Beach

Sharon and I went on a morning walk.  We took a picture of the house from the street.

What a perfect day.  

We had breakfast, got organized  and headed out.  We had a noon reservation at the Side Door Cafe.

We went on the the Side Door cafe.

We had a delicious  lunch.

Then we split up.  Judy's car went to Depoe Bay and Olivia's car went to the outlet stores.  Barbara S and I went with Judy.

Then we headed back to the house.  We stopped at the Connie Hansen park on the way.

It is a little one block park.  They  were having a private event so we could only go through a small part of it.

We got to the house about 5 pm.  The others were already back from their outlet shopping  trip.

We started the enchilada casserole about 5:30.  It was supposed to take about 90 minutes to cook so we had time for a walk.  It actually took longer than that.  

Sharon made each of us a Kir (cassis and white wine).  It was delicious.  We finished up my pictures of Minneapolis.   

Dinner was yummy.  

Sunset was gorgeous.

Sharon had a chance to show her Tokyo pictures.  That was fun.
