We met at Sharon's at 10 am to head off to the beach. We went in 3 vehicles. Judy, Joyce and Barbara S drove. First stop was the Bergstrom winery. It was an expensive tasting, $25, but we shared 2 tastings for 7 of us, since the drivers were only having small tastes. The wine was delicious but also too expensive to buy.
There was still a lot of haziness in the air from the Canadian fires, so visibility was less. In spite of that the views were stunning.
Next stop Arbor Brook
Again we shared 2 tastings but it was only $10 and it was waived if we bought wine. Which we did.
After tasting we sat outside and had our sack lunches.
Then we went off to Alexana. It was another expensive tasting and expensive wine so no purchasing. But it was another pretty place and the wine was good.
When we were leaving we saw this wine. Now I am curious. It was not one that we tasted. I will have to track it down.
This one we just checked out. We did not do a tasting. But I think that it is one to put on the list to plan to just sit and have a glass of wine. It was a very pretty place.
Our next stop is a place we have been to many times so we did not need to do a tasting. Some people just bought some wine for the beach.
Then it was time to just head out to Lincoln City. Joyce and I stopped at the grocery store to pick up a few dinner things. We were going to a house we have not been to before. We got settled in, had snacks and wine. Kris and Olivia got their walk on the beach. We had dinner at 7 pm.
Sharon made a delicious chilled tomato soup,
Then I fell down on the job with pictures. I had made a chicken and artichoke casserole, Barbara S made a lemon zest green bean side dish which was very tasty and she brought garlic bread from Beaverton Bakery. Joyce added a salad. A very tasty meal.
I showed pictures of our Barcelona, Madrid, Paris trip.
