Kidspace and home

Oh my, another sunny day!! 

We checked out of the hotel and headed over to Jamie and Pam's for breakfast.  That was nice.   Then we headed over to Sharon and Michael's place.  At 9:30 am we headed off in 2 cars to Kidspace.  We had a 10 am reservation

Then it was time for lunch.

The request was to go back to the sock skating area.

Then we went to the "educational" science toys.  

We headed back home so that the kids could take a nap. Jamie, Pam, George, Nathan, and I found a place to play 10, 9, 8.  Jamie had to head off for a work meeting.  We went to Trader Joe's to pick up some dinner things.  

Back to Sharon and Michaels.

We went on a short walk around the block before an early dinner.  We had an 8 pm flight to Portland.  We said our good-byes at 6 pm and went the airport.  We stopped for gas and then went to return the car.  

When we flew to Burbank Nathan was bumped from row 29 to row 9.  He got to board early but he did not realize it until we were boarding.  This flight he got bumped again - this time to first class. Not sure why.  But lucky guy.

 We are at the back of the plane again.  But we got to sit next to a little puppy.

We were delayed getting into Portland.  We were supposed to get in at 10:18 pm but we actually pulled into our gate at 10:50 pm.

 It was raining.  Rebecca met us.  We dropped her off at work on our way home. Then we dropped Nathan off.  We got home just after midnight.  It was a fun trip.

Day at the Beach

 We went to Porto's for breakfast again.

I had the egg, cheese and guacamole sandwich and OJ.  It was good but too much.

We headed to Sharon & Michael's place.  The goal was to leave there at 8:30 am.  It was almost 9 am by the time we actually left.  Nathan was in Pam's car with Sharon and her  kids and George and I were in Jamie's car.  We got to the Zuma beach in Malibu first.

Nathan actually did get in a few times.  It was too cold for the rest of us.

They were around for quite a while.

We left around noon.  We went to Uncle AF's in Malibu for lunch.  We called the order in so the food was there when we got there.

Nathan had no help from his friends.  He kept slipping back down.

We got back around 2:30 pm.  Not much down time today.  We tried playing a game of Fish but it had been so long since we had played that we messed up some of the rules.  We looked up the rules.  

Nathan had given Ella and Nicole drinking glasses that they could decorate.  They had fun working on that.

Dinner was left-overs and Tex-Mex food.  I almost finished the Butter Chicken. 

Nicole went to bed early.  We fit in a game of 8, 7, 6.  That was fun.

We left around 7:30 pm to head back to the hotel.
