Happy Labor Day

Jeanne and I were up early to take a walk.  It was a clear morning so it was very pretty.

We had breakfast.  We finished up the cinnamon rolls.  We had most of them yesterday.
yummy.

Jeanne & Jay hosted a Labor Day picnic (this is the 2nd year) down by the bay, for the people on their loop.  There was a lot of set up to do.  We took tables, chairs down and Jay set up a dining fly.  Jay cooked the hamburgers, hot dogs & bratwurst ahead so that we only had to heat them up when people were ready.  We took down condiments, pop and place settings.  As people came they brought a side dish. We ended out with 18 people.

Jay & Jeanne
The Harms had to get ready to go.  They had to eat and run.  It is a long drive back to Madison.  They start school tomorrow.

Rufus

Kevin was learning how to do the paddle board.  His dog Rufus loved it as well.
See Rufus in the water between Kevin and Calantha, 2 of the neighbors at the party who got talked into learning how to do the paddle boards.

It was a perfect day for a picnic. People stayed until about 2 pm, then it was time to clean up.

We relaxed and then had left-overs for dinner.  Then Bev and Dan came over.  Time for the adults to play some games.  I watched and helped to drink the wine.

They get together every week to play Dominion or Settlers.
