Saturday

I took a few pictures around the house.

We had a nice breakfast of Jimmy Dean's breakfast bowls.  We took Hoss on a walk down to the gate.  We looked at a lot of Sue's 22 acre piece of land.  If she were in Oregon it would be full of grape vines instead of hay.

We did a Zoom call to Rachel so we could have the 4 sisters together.  We heard that they have been having quite a hard year.  Andy has had a brain tumor.  He has had surgery and chemo therapy.  Now he is on a clinical trial.  They think that he is all clear.  But there have been a lot of side effects.  Keep them in your thoughts.

We went to Walmart to go get a few essentials, like wine. On the way home we stopped to see Kim's pony's.  They sure were cute.  There were a couple of babies.

Wine and dog treats.  Great combination.

Sue also has a 40 acre plot of land.  Kim keeps horses on that land as well.

Hoss is sharing the love.

Another walk around the property.  We had to watch for ticks.

Hoss and his namesake (check out the people on the TV)

We headed to Texas Roadhouse for dinner.  Kim met us there.

Delicious meal.  I had 6 oz filet with a loaded sweet potato and broccoli. YUMMY.

Debbie got a tick that was starting to burrow.  Luckily Kim had a hemostat available so she could pull it out.  I guess the ticks are extra bad this year.

Then we just hung out the rest of the evening.

Friday Seattle to Morristown

We were up at 5 am to get ready to go to the airport.  The airport was actually right across the street, but we signed up for the morning shuttle anyway.

We got over to the airport and found the right line for going the security.  Then we could relax and have breakfast.

The flight was late leaving Seattle.  We did not have a lot of time in Atlanta to make our next connection.  Once we got on our way the flight was uneventful.  I watched 2 old movies: Stardust and Letters from Juliet.  We had bought lunch food at Starbucks.

Once we got to Atlanta we had to skurry to make our connection.  We ended out having time to spare since that flight took off late. We got into Knoxville about 1/2 hour late.  Sue met us as we came out of security.  Once we got our luggage we headed out to the car.  Sue's friend, Kim, was our chauffer.  Kim is a very interesting person.  She worked as a driver with the military, around the white house and especially with NATO. She met a lot of famous people.  Margaret Thatcher was one of her favorites.  It was about an hour's drive to Morristown.  Kim dropped us off and then went to her place.  She is a neighbor.

Once we were at Sue's we heated up a pizza.  It was 8:30 pm before we had a chance to eat.  Then struggled to figure out the wifi.  Even my phone hotspot wasn't working.  It took us a bit of a struggle.  We ended out texting Sue's son and he help us figure it out.  I thought that it might have been a blogless weekend. I will take pictures of the hose and property tomorrow.

Sue's dog.  It is a Blue Heeler and Corgie mix.  A Blue Heeler is an Australian Cattle Dog.

Sister's Getaway Thursday

George took me to the Amtrak train station for the noon train to Tacoma to meet up with Debbie.  Then tomorrow the 2 of us will fly to Knoxville to visit our older sister, Sue.

I got on the train about 5 minutes before it left.

I found the lounge car and got my lunch right away. Not very exciting.

The views would be better if it weren't raining.

Debbie had left her home just about the same time that I left Portland.  She got to the train station 10 minutes before I arrived.

We drove to the Radisson Airport Hotel.  it is actually a stones throw away from the airport.  We checked in.

We hung our for a while then we went out to find a place for dinner.  We ended out at 13 Coins.

Very good wine.
