Sunday, Nov 2

Sunday was a relaxing day.  We got up leisurely, some people went walking on the beach in the rain. Not me.  Kathie had left early because she wanted to get back for church.  Our new pastor candidate was preaching.  We had Kathie set up her laptop in the sanctuary when she got there and then we could listen to the service.  We could see and hear them but they could not hear us.  The connection was not fabulous but we could hear well enough.  That was nice.  I am assuming that he was voted in.  I will probably hear on Monday.
Not the best visibility

We are sort of watching and listening.

After the service we had to pack up to get going.  Check out time is 11 am.  Then we all split up.  Mark came to pick up Olivia, Betsy headed off on her own to Eugene, Sue and Sally went back with Karen and Kris and I went with Sharon.  Of course we did some wine tasting on the way home.

Stoller is always a favorite - it is a beautiful setting as well as having enjoyable wines.

Then we drove into Carlton for lunch.  We had not been to the Horse Radish before.  Fun place.  Soup and sandwich kind of a place.

The Horse Radish was right next to Honest Chocolates so we HAD to stop there.  They make the yummiest chocolates.

There was a wine tasting place in the same building.  We checked them out.  Personally I was not impressed and it was expensive.  So we did not buy any.

After that we headed home.  Sharon had to drop me off at the church and then Kris at her place before she could go home.

All in all a very fun weekend.

Saturday evening

Enjoying the evening

sharing table (like we haven't had enough food!!)

Karen made a delicious parmesan chicken.  I made an edamame succotash and a maple roasted brussel sprouts.  We had more of Sally's cabbage salad and bread and Kathie;s dessert.  It was a wonderful combination of cheesecake and pecan pie.

We looked at some of Sharon's Paris pictures and some of Karen't New York pictures.  That was fun.

Kathie has to leave early in the morning so we got our group picture taken tonight.

Sue, Sharon, Kris, Sally, Olivia, Barbara, Betsy, Karen and Kathie.

A very enjoyable weekend!!!

At the beach

We got to the beach in time to take a nice walk.

This log was not there last week.

Karen
Dinner was fabulous.  Sharon made a sausage spinach soup.  Sally made a cabbage apple salad and brought bread.  Yummy.

No it is not a full moon but it was pretty anyway.

Betsy finally arrived around 9:30 pm.  So now we are all here.

Beach weekend #2

Three of us met at the church at 10:30 am and went to pick up Sue in King City.  The other car started from Kris's.  We met at the Starbucks in Sherwood.  This is our usual stop when heading out to the beach.  The day had started out rainy but by the time we got to the Lange Vineyards it was clearing up.  Wine tasting there.  A few of us bought some wine.

There were 7 of us. Olivia, Sally Sue, Kathy and Kris in this photo.

What a gorgeous place.

Then we stopped at the Briar Rose Creamery to taste some delicious goad cheese.  Ended with a fabulous chocolate cheese truffle.  Wow.  Tasted like a little chocolate cheese cake.

The sign was confusing.  It said it was closed but we thought we would check it out.  It was open.

Then on to Erath, a favorite stop

Sally and Sue

Another gorgeous location and more people bought wine.

Then it was on to lunch at Barrel E18hteen.

Half a sandwich was just perfect.

We went to the Lawrence Galley.  I lied last week. The Pieta is only $250,000!!.

Then we headed of to the beach.  No more stops.
