Bellingham Arrival and Debbie & Joe's

I missed the sunrises and sunsets in Juneau.  I think that because it is surrounded by high mountains you just don't see the sun go up or down.

I got the better shower this morning.  There are 2 stalls.  One is the handicap stall with a handheld shower head that would not stay put. When I used that shower yesterday the water would turn off unpredictably. I had my morning coffee but we did not have breakfast because we were going to have breakfast with Debbie and Joe in Bellingham.

We went to Mount Bakery for breakfast. It was only about 1/2 mile from the dock.

I had the classic eggs Benedict. The unusual thing is that it was on a waffle.  It was quite tasty.

We walked around Bellingham a little.

Note the whale tail.

On the wall in the bookstore

Cool bookstore.  Very eclectic.

We got back to Debbie and Joe's and relaxed a bit. We looked at the house behind D & J's.  The last time we saw it, it was just the foundation.  It is supposed to be ready in September.

Phil is out exploring.

Nice salad lunch

We went on the neighborhood walk but I got too hot.  We got as far as the lake.  But I did not want to do the last leg. We still had to go uphill to get back to D & J's.  There was more activity on the lake than usual: swimmers, sunbathers, paddle boarding.

We had some nice wine and snacks on the deck. It was in the shade so it was very comfortable.

We moved to the back yard table and played a game of 10, 9, 8.

Phil ready to attack

We went out for dinner at the Cob and Cork.

An unusual plating of Ahi tuna.  Joe said that it was good.

Debbie and I each had the wild salmon.

Nathan had the crab cakes.  It was a very nice place.

Bald eagle

Phil likes Nathan

We decided to play bananagrams.  Phil wanted to play too.  He was not much help.

Phil and Belle want to go out.
