Minneapolis to Mackinac Island

We had breakfast in the hotel and then headed off to the airport. Jeanne dropped us off. Our flight was at 9:50 am to Traverse City, Michigan.  It was a short flight.  We got there at noon but we had an hour time change.  Debbie rented the car and drove us to Mackinaw City.  We stopped for lunch along the way.

We got to the ferry in time for the 4 pm ferry.

We got our luggage and walked to our hotel.  It took us a bit to find our penthouse suite.  In fact, we had to call the manager to help us find it.  WOW!! what a place.

We ate across the street.  We each had a different salad.  They were delicious.
Then we walked the main street, trying to orient ourselves.  We ended out at the grocery to get wine and snacks.

Then we headed back and relaxed in our living room.

  1. A very speedy looking ferry, not like the ones to Alaska.
And most of the seating is outside. They must not get many passengers in the winter.
    Looks like a nice hotel.
