Agh!! I am so sore today and my right hand still is bothering me.
Again we did not have a particular time to get moving.
We headed over to the lodge and then to walk around the small lake.
Kite flying
We found a fun playgrround
It is nice of these swans to pose for me.
We headed back to cabin 4 for lunch. We just had sandwiches and soup. I headed to our cabin to collect some pots and some plates we will need for dinner. Madeline is fixing dinner for us all.
Then we headed back to the lodge to get rackets so that we could play pickleball. Nathan, George, and I had never played before. Mostly, we just tried to volley the pickleball. That was hard enough. Soon Robbie and Martin joined and so I dropped out. Then Madeline joined us, so George dropped out.
Then we went back to the lodge. George W and Nathan went to the pool with George S and Amelia.
Amelia did not want to go into the water but she liked to throw the rings to Nathan and George.
Robbie and Martin went to the bar to watch the game. I chatted with Dorothy. When the swimming was done we headed to the bar and played a round of 10, 9, 8. Then we headed back to Cabin 4 for dinner. Madeline had made broccoli and chicken for some and broccoli with salmon for others.

A herd of deer were wandering over the golf course.

My right hand is nearly back to normal but I am still sore.
A rabble rousing game of Settlers.
We headed back to our cabin. Nathan, Martin and Robbie tried to play several different computer games but the Internet was too slow. They had a hard time finding something that could work.
Tomorrow we will check out from here and drive to Findlay which should have more time of totality (the prediction of the weather is still iffy)

Sounds like another fun filled family day...sorry to hear the effects of your tumble are still with you...hope the weather cooperates for eclipse viewing today!
ReplyDeleteBummer that your fall seems to still have damaged something. Hope it heals up soon.
ReplyDeleteReally nice looking cabins and lots of wildlife. Getting your steps in just visiting each other! Have fun driving to Findlay (:>) - hope the traffic isn't too bad for you.
We're driving east from here to Erin's sister's house in a couple hours - having a family cookout and hoping the clouds clear up this afternoon.
See you tomorrow morning in West Unity!
