Navi Mumbai

The Country Inn and Suites by Radisson is a nice hotel but not over the top like the Radisson in Chennai was.

Our room.

We went down for our complementary breakfast.  NO FILTER COFFEE!! I forgot that that was a south India thing.  I already miss it.  Oh well.  I had my coffee in the room.

After breakfast George went out to walk around a bit.  He had a few things to look for.  He found what he was looking for.  It was already 80 degrees at 9 am.  I opted to hang around in the hotel.

Rebecca walked here from her place.  It took her 45 min.  Compass picked us up at 1 pm. It was only 101 degrees.  The car is comfortable small SUV Toyota Innova Crysta (which I have never heard of) .  We went back to Rebecca's place and met Marry and her grandmother.

The 2 dogs out on the tiny porch.  They were wild. The yellow lab is Royal  Rebecca takes them for their morning walk.

Living Room

Rebecca fixed us lunch of Sabudana.  It was very tasty.  Rebecca knows how to make it mild enough for me.

Then the driver, Shekhar, took us to where Nisha lives.  It was a little over an hour.  I don't know why there are not more accidents.  Cars, autorickshaws, motorcycles, buses, people all just going where they want to go when they want to go.  Smaller vehicles try to sneek through smaller spaces. No one pays any attention to lanes.  No one pays any attention to ambulances with their sirens going. I'm glad that I was not sitting in the front seat.  I just try to not look.  I bet these drivers are very good at video games.

We got to Nisha's place.  Her son, Zion was there.  They call him Natu.  Pooja (her sister) was there as well.

Natu, Nisha, Rebecca and then Pooja on the right.

We had tea while we were visiting.

Nisha showing us how long her hair was.

We mostly hung out on the bed in bedroom.  It is the only room with AC.

Pooja went to get her kids.  Abhi and Shifa

Pooja did most of the cooking for dinner. She lives just one floor down in the same building.
They made chapati, rice, and paneer curry.

The kids were enjoying the meal.

As we were leaving we stopped by to meet Bhauji.  It was a very quick hi-by and I did not get a picture.

Bhauji's mom.

It took us longer to get home because it was dark and the traffic was worse.  Plus, I think that the driver got a little lost.  We dropped Rebecca off and then the driver took us back to the hotel.  I think that we will have the same driver tomorrow so he should be familiar with our hotel and Rebecca's place.

I ordered a glass of Sula Cabernet.

We relaxed for the rest of the evening.
