Harry Potter, Haggis and the 3 Scottish Tenors

After going to the Rosslyn Chapel we were dropped off by the Edinburgh Castle and part of the Royal Mile.  We walked to the Elephant House for lunch.  Apparently this is where Harry Potter was born.

I had the baked potato with tuna mayo.  That is what they call tuna salad.

bathroom is completely covered with graffiti about Harry Potter stuff.

Then we walked to the National Museum of Scotland and explored that for a few hours.

A dress up area.  Nathan got into it

an other place that was an inspiration for Harry Potter

We only had about an hour before we needed to be downstairs to go to dinner.  We went to an old mansion.  The stable has been converted to a dinner/theater type of a place.

The white tent sort of a place is where we were for dinner.  What is funny is that we took a picture of it when we climbed Arthur's Seat the first day!  Did not know what we were taking a picture of.  Preston's Field.

one of the guys on our tour got dressed up for dinner

We had a good dinner and show of the Best of Scotland.  Music, singing and dancing.  Very enjoyable.
Carrot ginger soup

We even had a chance to taste Haggis.  Not as bad as I was expecting.
I had the roast beef, potatoes and vegetable.

verr good lemon dessert

The lighting in the place makes everything look pink.

A very fun evening.  Tomorrow we have to have suitcases out by 7 am.  We get on the bus at 8 am.
